About Us
Book bans are one of the United States’ biggest forms of censorship. Many authors who choose to write about certain topics are frequently targeted because their books “are harmful and inappropriate for children”. We want to spread awareness on how these book bans aren’t protective, but are harmful instead.Pages for Change recognizes that educating our youth is very important. They are the future of our world. If the choices of books that are available to kids are limited, they will not be able to learn as well as they would with a wider selection. Reading varieties of books exposes kids to different perspectives and backgrounds. Our mission is to not only educate about the damage book bans do, but to also raise funds and reading materials to be distributed to communities who need it.
